The details…
We’re travelling for a few months this summer/fall and we’re making our fully-furnished 2 bed + loft, 2 bathroom home available for rent starting July 1. We’re interested in a 9 month or 1 year lease.
The arrrangement is ideal for a non-smoking couple or small family relocating to the area who want to rent before buying or as an interim rental situation for someone that needs time to find something more permanent. Maybe out-of-town inlaws want a few months with grandkids and you don’t have adequate room.
We believe pets are family. Our dog friendly home and yard would be great for the right dog(s). Indoor-only kitties may also be considered - they wouldn’t be safe outsde in our location.
Rental is $2,600 monthly which may be negotiable for the right tenants. References required.

The house…
The house will have everything you need to walk in with your suitcase and your toothbrushes.
A fully-equipped, newly-renovated kitchen features everything you need to host holiday dinners - dishes, cooking utensils, food processor - even spices and condiments.
The house has 2 bedrooms and features an office loft with electronic sit/stand adjustable desk and pullout sofa bed. Great wifi makes the office perfect for working from home.
There are 2 full baths, one with walk in shower. The other is spa-like with a tub. Both have heated floors. You’ll have access to hair appliances, towels, linens, and stocked toiletries.
Heat is electric but we favour the warmth and beauty of the new woodstove in the winter which heats the whole house - wood is included!
The 1,700 sq ft home includes 2 living areas plus the loft for individual activities. There are 2 TVs with Netflix and Prime streaming services included or you can cast your Android apps to the large screens. Shaw cable is available at an additional cost.
There is a ton of natural light and great outdoor views thanks to big windows and skylight.


















The outdoors…
Outside, the very private property is about an acre with approx 1/3 acre usable in the fully-fenced yard.
There are 2 big stone patios, and a massive 2-level deck off the front of the house.
We have a chiminea & firepit for warm outdoor living and a barbecue for warm outdoor food.
The yard is a gardener’s delight with low-maintenance perennial gardens and full-sized greenhouse and colourful annuals. You’re welcome to use your green thumbs to refine and enhance if you choose. There’s automated irrigation in gardens and greenhouse.
The house and fenced yard are super dog-friendly (with conditions) and potentially cat-friendly for indoor kitties.







The location…
Location wise, just 20 minutes to Nelson or Castlegar, it’s on a quiet dead -end road, 2 minutes from Crescent Valley amenities.
There are endless bike riding, dog-walking, XC skiing and showshoeing opportunities with the 64km Rail Trail along the beautiful Slocan River, Crescent Valley Beach Regional Park, the new Krestova Regional Park and great trails right off an easement at the end of our road.
